What is test-based nutrition?

Test-based nutrition starts with a simple idea: instead of only assuming what your body may need, create a measurable starting point first and then decide what you want to do with that information.

From assumptions to measurement

How you feel matters, but it does not tell you everything about specific nutritional markers. In the GoBeyond Health route I use at-home tests provided by Zinzino. The BalanceTest is a dried blood spot self-test in which a small finger-prick sample is analysed for a set of fatty acids. The result includes information about your fatty-acid profile and omega 6:3 balance.

A test is a starting point, not a diagnosis

The result provides information about specific measured markers. It is not a complete health assessment and it is not a medical diagnosis. Medical symptoms or concerns belong with a qualified healthcare professional.

Then understand what the result means

Data is not very useful if you do not understand it. That is why we go through the result together. I help you understand what was measured and we look at nutritional options that may fit the result. You always decide what you do next.

Retesting can make change visible

A measurable baseline gives you something to compare later. If you make changes and retest, you can compare the same measured markers instead of relying only on how you think something is working.

MEASURE BEFORE YOU GUESS

Start with your own baseline.
